On Wednesday 23 October I shall be starting a three-day Telling Tales project for English Heritage based at the spectacular Kenilworth Castle. I will be working with a group of Year 8 students from Kenilworth School, supporting them as they create their own myths and legends inspired by their visit to the castle.

The Great Hall at the castle once had not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, but SIX enormous fire places.
Two Atlas figures and a ragged staff form the centrepiece of the white marble fountain in the Elizabethan Garden at the castle. The base of the fountain is also adorned with relief sculptures of figures from Roman mythology.
